This Junior competition is run in collaboration with Ponsonby Junior Rugby Club. 2025 Term 1 Touch Kicks off on Tuesday 11th February for 7 weeks, finishing 25th March (1st April - rain day) 2025 Term 4 Touch Kicks off on Tuesday 21st October for 7 weeks, finishing 2nd December (9th December - rain day) This is a school's competition, where preference is given to complete school teams entering, HOWEVER, Club and Non-school teams are certainly admitted if their respective schools are not playing. We grade our teams according to their school year rather than their date of birth dates. Teams will roughly play at the following times Year 1&2 (4pm), 3&4 (4pm & 4:30pm), 5&6 (5:00pm), 7&8-Open (5:05pm and 5:40pm). Preferably no more than 8 players in a team but as many as 10 will be accepted. We will offer separate grades for girls and boys where possible. Teams in years 1-4 will play on a half field, play 5 aside, we request an on-field coach & drop balls count as a touch. Teams in school years 5-8 will play full field (6 aside with standard touch rules).
